You can automatically provide your users or your team with a PDF document of their form submissions, for example as a contract confirmation after taking out an insurance policy, or as a registration confirmation for an event. You can choose between a pre-built PDF design template from the Admin Center or your own custom-designed PDF document. The following articles walk you through the different options in detail.
Do you want to offer users a copy of their submitted form data as a PDF document? Perhaps fully aligned with your company’s corporate design? Or do you need to forward submitted data automatically to your team for internal processing?
The Use PDF design action lets you provide users with a clean, professional PDF of their form submissions in just a few clicks. First, you set up and activate a design template in the Admin centre. Once activated, Formcentric applies this layout automatically to your form—leaving you to simply decide which content and form elements to include.
With the Upload PDF action, you can provide your users with their form submissions in a custom-designed PDF document, for example fully branded in your company's corporate design. You upload your own fillable PDF and retain full creative control over the design. Alternatively, this action is also useful for automatically forwarding form data to your team for internal purposes or further processing. Alongside the form itself, you will also need a fillable PDF document for linking to your form. Once the PDF document and the online form are linked together, user input is copied to the PDF document automatically. You can provide your users with the PDF document either by using a download link in the confirmation message after submitting the form or by including the PDF as an attachment to an email notification.
Whether you choose a pre-built PDF design or upload a custom PDF, Formcentric makes it easy to share completed documents once your PDF action is configured. You have two simple distribution options: offer a direct download on your post-submission confirmation message, or attach the PDF to an email notification.
Learn how to use conditions in Formcentric to automatically deliver different PDF documents based on the options your users select in a form. Imagine running a contact form where users identify as either a private customer or a business customer. Depending on their choice, you need to capture different details—for instance, business customers supply their company name and tax ID, whereas private customers do not. Once the form is submitted, you want to offer each group a customized PDF summary containing only their relevant information. This guide uses the Use PDF design action to demonstrate the setup.
