Creating folders for forms

If you need more structure, that’s no problem with Formcentric.

Create your own folders and organise your forms just as you want. You can create a structure based on applications, process owners or languages, for example.

Creating new folders

You have a number of options when you want to create a new folder.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Click Forms on the top menu bar.
  2. Click
    1. the New folder in the left-hand navigation area
      or
    2. at the top right of the window New folder.
      The New folder dialog window appears.
  3. Enter a name for the new folder.
  4. Click Create folder to confirm your input.

You have now created a new folder.

The folder is shown in the left-hand navigation area.

Creating new folders when creating a new form

You can create a folder when creating a new form.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Click Forms on the top menu bar.
  2. Then click New form at the top right of the screen.
    The Create form dialog window appears.
  3. Select an option.
    A dialog window appears.
    Complete all the details required to create your form.

  4. Click New folder.
  5. Enter a name for the new folder.
  6. Click Create folder to confirm your input.

You have now created a new folder.
You can now use this immediately as the place to store your new form.

Creating new folders when moving a form

You can create a folder when moving a form.

To create a new folder when moving a form, proceed as follows:

  1. Click Forms on the top menu bar.
  2. Find the form that you want to move.
  3. Click
    1. the context menu link under Actions
      or
    2. right-click the name of the form.
      A context menu appears.
  4. Click Move to move your form. A dialog window appears, listing all available folders.
  5. Click New folder.
    Above the existing folders, a new folder appears with an empty text box.
  6. Enter a name for the new folder.
  7. To confirm your input, click the tick mark shown on the right.

You have now created a new folder.
This folder is shown in the overview of all available folders and you can now move your form to this folder.

Renaming folders

You can rename a folder any time you want.

  1. Click Forms on the top menu bar.
  2. Move the mouse cursor over the folder in the left-hand navigation area that you want to rename.
    A context menu link appears next to the folder.
  3. Click the context menu link.
    A context menu appears.
  4. Click Rename.
    The Rename folder dialog window appears.
  5. Enter a new name for your folder.
  6. Click Rename folder to confirm the name change.

You have now renamed the folder.

Deleting folders

You can delete a folder if you no longer need it.

  1. Click Forms on the top menu bar.
  2. Move the mouse cursor over the folder in the left-hand navigation area that you want to delete.
    A context menu link appears next to the folder.
  3. Click the context menu link.
    A context menu appears.
  4. Click Delete.
    A dialog window appears.
  5. Click Delete folder to confirm the deletion.

You have now deleted the folder.
